The Kern's brand has a rich history. It began in the 1920s, in the heart of California's famous Central Valley — the world's richest agricultural area. There, the Kern's juice company began with the goal to produce fresh-tasting drinks for families. In the 1930s, the company introduced Kern's Nectars. The new drinks were instantly popular in California, where fruit and sunshine are a way of life.

As the state of California grew, so did Kern's. From locally produced and sold products, the company expanded so its beverages could be enjoyed in other states — by the 1990's the brand was available nationally. As the new century began, Kern's was regularly winning awards for taste and quality. The company continued to show innovation in beverages by introducing horchatas and bringing the delicious taste of a traditionally Latino drink to California and Arizona.
